Lost and alone without a phone

I had just moved into my new flat, my other flat mates wouldn't arrive until later so I was staying there alone.  There was no internet connection yet and all I had was my phone to contact my parents and friends back in Hawke's Bay.  I was feeling really stressed and homesick so I was sent into a panic attack when one fateful afternoon I crushed my phone (accidentally) and it broke.  I barely knew my neighbour so after wiping away tears I shyly asked to use her phone to call my dad and tell him what happened.  She was so kind and positive, she gave me advice and suggestions, just being so helpful, even going as far as to drive me out to The Warehouse so I could buy a replacement phone on the very same day.
